Warranty
How service works for Japan and overseas — and why we include repair parts with every international order.
Warranty →Buying a Japanese Riichi table from abroad raises real questions — power, shipping, duties, service. Here are honest answers to the ones we hear most. When something depends on your country, we'll confirm the specifics with you on a quote.
Open any question below. Can't find your answer? Send us the model and your country and we'll reply personally.
Yes — we ship worldwide, handled on a quote basis rather than through a shopping cart. Tell us the model, your country and how many tables you need on the Get a Quote form, and we reply with the table price, recommended freight options and an estimated timeline.
There's no online checkout. Every order is confirmed by a person, so you always know the full cost before you commit. More detail on freight is on our Shipping page.
Four steps:
For clubs, venues and distributors we can quote multiple units and discuss terms at step two.
ALBAN tables are built for Japan's AC100V supply; the Slim Voice SCORE uses a universal power input. To run a 100V appliance on a higher-voltage supply (for example 120V or 220–240V) you'll generally need a suitable step-down transformer rated for the table's wattage.
Plugs, voltage and electrical certification differ by country, so we confirm the right setup for your specific location when we quote. Please ask — we'll advise based on your destination rather than guess here.
Possibly. Import duties, taxes and customs handling are set by your own country and are not included in the table price. We don't calculate duties automatically (no DDP), and the rules change, so we can't state your exact charges in advance.
We recommend checking the latest figures with your local customs authority or a customs broker. We'll provide the commercial documents your shipment needs to clear.
There is no manufacturer warranty; coverage is limited to initial defects. For overseas orders there is no formal international warranty either. Instead, we include a set of common spare parts with the table so most routine issues can be handled locally, and our team supports you remotely by email.
We're upfront about this so there are no surprises. If service support matters to you, tell us your country and we'll discuss what's realistic. Full details are on the Warranty page.
Automatic tables like a little routine care — cleaning the playing surface and tiles, and keeping the mechanism free of debris. Overseas tables ship with common repair parts included, and we support diagnosis remotely with guidance and replacement parts from our Parts service.
ALBAN's own on-site repair service operates within Japan (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Yamanashi, Ibaraki and Tochigi). Outside Japan, we work with you to handle service locally.
International orders are arranged individually rather than through an online cart, so we confirm the payment method that fits your country and order size during the quote. Bank transfer is common for overseas purchases, and for clubs, venues and distributors we can discuss terms.
You'll see the full amount, currency and instructions in writing before any payment is made.
It depends on the model, stock at the time, your destination and the shipping method you choose — so we give a realistic lead time with every quote rather than a fixed promise here.
Single home tables are typically quicker than large multi-table orders for clubs or venues, which we schedule together. Ask for a quote and we'll estimate the timeline for your exact order.
ALBAN's Slim Voice tables come in 28mm and 33mm tiles. 33mm tiles are larger and easier to read across the table, which many tournament and parlor players prefer; 28mm is a slightly more compact, lighter tile that suits home play.
Both play identically — it's about feel and readability. If you're unsure, tell us how you'll use the table and we'll recommend a size. See the Slim Voice SCORE for specifications.
Yes, in Japan. ALBAN has a showroom in Tokyo (1-16-17 Kaname-cho, Toshima-ku — one stop from Ikebukuro) where you can try the tables.
If you can't visit, we're happy to share detailed photos, specifications and video, and to answer questions over email so you can choose with confidence. Just get in touch.
